This game is designed to help students process more thoroughly the knowledge they (think) they know, to build new connections for memory, and to spread love of language!
Each student secretly writes 3 short facts/statements concerning the topic they are revising.
Suitable fact examples:
(Maths) The angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees
(BTEC sport) Plyometric training helps improve explosive power
(English) Clauses usually contain a subject and a verb
Now having their 3 short facts, students either use Google Translate, or their own knowledge, to translate the three facts into any other language of their choosing.
Finally, as best they can, volunteer students read out their translated (non-English) facts to class/revision partner – and they try to work out what fact they are talking about!
