Students will understand Roman beliefs about life after death and the conventions of Roman funerals. They will refine their experience of the perfect tense.
By the end of this unit it is expected that all students will recall key features of a Roman funeral, translate a variety of stories in the past tense.
Most students will complete exercises successfully using different forms of the perfect tense.
Some learners will have progressed further and will use the web site www.cambridgescp.com and other resources to extend/cement their vocabulary; make informed comparison between ancient and modern conventions to do with death.
