We introduce students to the foundational concepts that will underpin their understanding of science throughout their time at Chesterton and beyond. Students study a variety of biology, chemistry and physics topics. We aim to develop students as scientists by teaching them how to work scientifically. Each topic has an end of topic test which is assessed using the new GCSE grades of 9-1. For example, a score of 9 would indicate that a student was on track to achieve a 9 by the time they sit their GCSE exams if their current rate of progress continues.
Students are taught by two teachers at Key Stage 3.
